New York Knicks

This is New York! The mecca of basketball. Madison Square Garden is where legends play. Durant coming to New York is accepting that he wants to play on the biggest stage, with the most amount of pressure, and deliver a title to one of the most loyal fanbases in the NBA. Winning in New York immediately turns you into a legend, and that’s what Durant will be once he plays for the Knicks. Phil Jackson has won so many titles that he doesn’t have enough fingers for rings. A man that knows what it takes to win and is one of the best ego managers the NBA has ever seen.

With Jackson in charge, and being in New York, getting free agents to come play for the Knicks will never be an issue. Jeff Hornacek getting fired in Phoenix was a case of a toxic situation that he wasn’t responsible for. He’ll be a great coach in New York just like he was that first year with the Suns, but now he has infinitely better talent, and when Durant and Melo start getting old Kristaps Porzingis will be there to carry the torch. Derrick Rose is about to begin the bounce back to his career. There’s so much star power here right now that the Knicks will be the talk of the league, and Durant will be the face of all of it.
