3. Zaza Pachulia

Speaking of needs at center, the Lakers can either try to swing for fences at center or take a cheap practical approach. With a young roster and the Lakers not having any set meetings with big free agents, the Lakers should look at a guy like Zaza Pachulia.

If there is a player that is the definition of value and could be had a lot cheaper than some of the other options in free agency, it’s Pachulia. He proved last year with the Mavericks that he can play quality minutes on the floor.

The Lakers don’t have the depth at center right now and they just need someone that can hold some minutes down while their young players get the development on the floor that they need to grow and become better.

He isn’t anything special on offense, but he can grab boards and he’s generally considered a great teammate. With a young team, chemistry is one of the most important facets of the game.

Everyone saw what a great friend he and Dirk Nowitzki were. He’ll easily befriend the stars in Los Angeles and become a fan favorite because of the work ethic that he brings night in and night out on a consistent basis.
