3. Chicago Bulls

What could possibly be wrong with Dwyane Wade going home? I mean, he was born in Chicago and played college ball about an hour away at Marquette, but that doesn’t mean the Bulls are a good fit. If it’s only about location, Chicago would be the top option, but if it’s about playing for a contender, he better keep looking.

Sure, it would be something special to see a player head back home to finish his career off with the hometown team — LeBron James might do it — but that comes with a price if you’re Wade.

The Bulls have a second-year head coach in Fred Hoiberg who is still learning the NBA ropes and young superstar in Jimmy Butler who likes being the top dog. Unfortunately for Wade, he and Butler play the same position and although D-Wade has the ability to play point, he can’t be there full-time.

Chicago also just traded away Derrick Rose to the Knicks and Pau Gasol opted out of his contract to become a free agent while Joakim Noah has also reportedly agreed to a deal with the Knicks for $18 million next year — although it’s not final just yet.

If Wade joined Chicago, it would be him and Butler with Jose Calderon and a few other misfits. It will be years before the Bulls contend for anything and they may not even be a playoff team next year — yet again.
