1. New York Knicks

This one really doesn’t even deserve an explanation. On the same note as the Lakers, the Knicks are going nowhere real fast.

Adding Derrick Rose was high-risk, medium-reward move, but he could still be serviceable even if it feels like he hasn’t been healthy in five-plus years. Rose and Wade together may not even be able to combine for 82 games next season, let alone both play complete campaigns.

Wade isn’t quite as injury-prone as D-Rose, but both have bad knees which are only going to get more fragile in the coming years. If both were on the same team in New York next season, you could basically count on one of them being out of the lineup most of the year — in other words, it would be rare to see them both healthy at the same time.

Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis are two other major pieces to the puzzle for the Knicks and Wade could come in and form a poor-man’s big three or even three and a half with Rose there as well.

Still, Wade should stay far away from this situation. If the front office thinks the Rose move was a slam dunk, that means there are probably going to be more questionable acquisitions and departures in the near future, despite Phil Jackson being present.

The Knicks may not make the playoffs as long as D-Wade is still in the NBA.
