High Value OF

Ezequiel Carrera-Toronto Blue Jays (3,000): Carrera continues to start in place of Jose Bautista and hit atop the Blue Jays lineup.  He doesn’t have much pop, but he can steal bases and get on base which is a valuable commodity to have if the Jays get a bunch of runs against Chris Young tonight. Carrera is hitting .342 (27-79) so far this season at Rodgers Centre, so give him a look at 3K if you think Toronto will post a big number. ∗∗

Gregory Polanco-Pittsburgh Pirates (2,900): Polanco hit a pair of homers yesterday against the Cardinals totaling 40.9 fantasy points.  He has picked up his average for the year to .297 with a solid .895 OPS.  He has played well over the last ten games going 11-35 while missing some time due to a hamstring issue.  He may not quite be 100% yet, but he is in a mice matchup against Mike Leake tonight and should be a solid investment. ∗∗

Rajai Davis-Cleveland Indians (2,800): Davis had his huge 49.4-fantasy-point game on Saturday when he hit for the cycle and has at least 12 fantasy points in four of his last six contests.  He has been a productive part of the Tribe lineup whether leading off or hitting in the middle of the order.  Tonight, he’ll face Anibal Sanchez who he is 4-15 (.267) against in his career with a pair of doubles and two RBI.  Davis went 1-3 with a walk last night, but he did score two of the Indians five runs in their 5-3 win over Detroit. ∗∗∗∗

Brock Holt-Boston Red Sox (2,700): Holt is a nice value after his six-week stay on the DL.  He connected on his first homer since his return yesterday and has gone 5-13 with two doubles, three RBI, and five runs scored since returning.  Holt may still be worked back in gradually, but he’s a nice option if he gets that start again tonight against A.J. Griffin. ∗∗∗∗

Yasiel Puig-Los Angeles Dodgers (2,500): Puig has hit safely in each of his last six starts and went yard yesterday against the Orioles. He’s hitting .444 over that six-game stretch and looks to be getting back on track after a slow start to the season.  Tonight, he’ll face Christ Tillman for the first time in his career.∗∗

Michael Bourn-Arizona Diamondbacks (2,200): Bourn has gone 9-27 (.333) over the past week with three doubles, an RBI, and a pair of stolen bases.  He has raised his average to .267 on the year and continues to get plenty of at bats form the top of the D-Backs lineup (usually #2). Even though he’s in a lefty-lefty matchup, don’t shy way from him since he is 14-42 (.333) against lefties this season and 1-1 against Christian Friedrich.  Bourn is the way to go if you decide to go cheap at one of your OF spots tonight.
