High Salary OF

Mike Trout-Los Angeles Angels (4,200): Trout went 1-4 with a walk yesterday for six fantasy points which was the first time in his last ten games he had been held under 12 fantasy points. He has been running more lately with three steals in his last six games and also added seven multi-hit games in his last ten.  Trout is one of the best hitters in the game, so if he fits under your salary cap you have to give him a look as he takes on the Rays tonight. ∗∗

Mookie Betts-Boston Red Sox (3,800): Betts offers a nice power/speed combo as well as he and the Red Sox host the Rangers for the second game in their three-game set.  Betts has at least 20 fantasy points in three of his last four games after going 2-5 yesterday with a homer, walk, and pair of RBI.  Betts went 0-2 in his first two meetings with A.J. Griffin, but he is hitting .315 at Fenway with an .898 OPS.

Nelson Cruz-Seattle Mariners (3,700): Cruz went 0-3 with a walk for a quiet 4th of July, but he had at least nine fantasy points in seven of his previous eight games including four games with over 21 fantasy points. He turned in an impressive June with a .924 OPS thanks to ten homers, and he’ll look to carry that over into July.  He should be in a good place to produce tonight against lefty Dallas Keuchel.  Cruz is 31-98 (.316) against lefties this season with 11 of his 21 homers coming against southpaws to give him a 1.101 OPS in those 98 at-bats.  He also has specifically hit Keuchel well in the past going 8-20 (.400) with two homers and five RBI. ∗∗∗∗

Khris Davis-Oakland Athletics (3,600): Khris Davis has collected multiple hits in seven of his last nine games and has three homers in his last ten. Like Cruz, he has been feasting on left-handed pitchers and faces another lefty tonight as Tommy Milone gets the call for Oakland.  As long as weather isn’t an issue, Davis will be a nice play tonight in a game I think the A’s will pile up good run production in. ∗∗

Mark Trumbo-Baltimore Orioles (3,200): Trumbo has cooled off a bit with the rest of the Baltimore lineup, but he has still hit three homers in his last eight games and has at least six fantasy points in seven of his last nine.  He and the O’s fact Kenta Maeda tonight in LA.  Baltimore needs to pick up a win as their West Coast struggles continue, but I like Trumbo’s potential for a monster game if he gets some big hits.
