Some angry Oklahoma City Thunder fans decided to fire shots at a Kevin Durant jersey after the former Thunder star allegedly signed with the Warriors.

Kevin Durant’s decision to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder and agree in principle to a deal with the Golden State Warriors was one that caused a lot of emotional responses. Thunder fans couldn’t believe that Durant would bolt for the team that just beat them in the Western Conference Finals.

A group of Thunder fans decided to send off Durant by firing shots at his jersey, setting it on fire in the process.

Burning an athlete’s jersey after he leaves a team has become vanilla. It’s too boring. Give this group of guys props for coming up with a creative way to send a message to Durant. Firing shots around water isn’t the best thing to do, but it’s way better than just lighting a jersey on fire and being like every other angry sports fan.

Durant leaving the Thunder could mean a lot more than the “death” of his Thunder jersey. With Russell Westbrook refusing to sign an extension before he hits free agency, this could be the beginning of the end of the Thunder.
