5 reasons Dwyane Wade is a good fit with the Chicago Bulls
By Hunter Cooke
The Bulls now have multiple outside shooting threats
The Bull’s off-season moves show a couple of things: Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose could not exist on the same team, and Butler can’t do it on his own. The entire free agency period for the Bulls has been predicated on getting more help for Butler, especially with outside shooting. The Bulls already have last year’s assist leader in Rajon Rondo, and now they add Wade, who will free Butler up on the outside by adding a shooting threat.
Now, Butler won’t catch as many double teams and chip off defenses. If teams double Butler, they’re freeing up one of the NBA’s most prolific three-point shooters. The addition of Wade will open up the Bull’s offenses in ways that will only happen if you sign a player as proven as him.
Yes, Wade is getting old. He’ll be expensive. Chicago might have a few too many horses in the stable. But Wade’s track record of success and skill set is just what the doctor ordered for a struggling Bulls franchise.
