FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy baseball lineup-July 6
Second Baseman
High-Salary Option: Dustin Pedroia-Boston Red Sox (3,900): Pedroia has hit safely in 13 of his last 14 games and has multiple hits in each of his last three games helping to boost his average to .308 and earn him a spot in the “Final Vote” for the AL All Star team. Pedroia has a healthy .817 OPS and is thriving from the #2 spot in the lineup between Mookie Betts and Xander Bogaerts. He’s 3-11 in his career off tonight’s starter Martin Perez, but the Red Sox and Rangers have been scoring in bunches this series and tonight should continue that trend.∗∗∗
High-Salary Option: Jean Segura-Arizona Diamondbacks (3,800): Segura has picked up three hits in each of his last two games and totaled 24.2 and 28.1 fantasy points. He has hit safely in nine straight and sup to .318 on the season and .328 at home. He has been a nice surprise for Arizona after they picked him up this offseason from Milwaukee, and he’ll look to keep things rolling against Colin Rea and the Padres tonight at Chase Field.∗∗∗∗
High-Salary Option: Jose Altuve-Houston Astros (3,800): It’s also impossible to overlook Altuve at this price as he and the Astros host the Mariners. Altuve has gone 9-24 (.375) over the past week and 14-32 (.438) so far this season against Seattle. He has tormented Seattle all season and will look to continue his impressive season in which he is hitting .352 with a .986 OPS.∗∗∗∗∗
Mid-Range Option: Rougned Odor-Texas Rangers (3,100): Odor has hit safely in four in a row and has multiple hits in both games against Boston in this series. He homered on Monday on his way to 34.9 fantasy points and finished with 15.7 fantasy points last night even in a lefty-lefty matchup against David Price. Odor is 9-21 (.429) against the Sox in their meetings so far this year, and he’ll look to keep raking tonight against Steven Wright who he is 1-3 against in his career.∗∗
High Value Option: D.J. LeMahieu-Colorado Rockies (2,600): The Rockies 2B looks to be over his knee issue after going 3-4 yesterday with a double and two RBI for 25.2 fantasy points. LeMahieu has at least 12 fantasy points in four of his last seven starts and is 6-20 (.300) in his career against tonight’s starter Johnny Cueto. Even though I do like Cueto to have a good game, LeMahieu is my favorite sub-3K play at 2B for tonight. ∗∗∗
