Shortstop

High-Salary Option: Xander Bogaerts-Boston Red Sox (3,400): I’m done asking questions about why Bogaerts is under-priced. Let me just say he has at least six fantasy points in eight of his last nine games including each of his last five.  He also comes into tonight with a .877 OPS at home and a .888 OPS against lefties.  The only downside for Bogaerts is that he has gone 0-8 in his career against Martin Perez.  However, I expect him to change that tonight and show this price is really too low for him. ∗∗∗

Mid-Range Option: Troy Tulowtizki-Toronto Blue Jays (3,300)Tulo has been on a tear since returning from the DL and is 10-21 (.476) with three homers already in the month of July. He has five homers in his last nine games and has his average on the season up to .239 after a horrible start.  Tulowitzki is just 6-31 (.194) in his career against tonight’s starter Ian Kennedy, but he has sent three of those six hits into the seats, so look for him to keep rolling tonight at Rodgers Centre where he finally seems to be comfortable and productive. ∗∗∗∗

Mid-Range Option: Elvis Andrus-Texas Rangers (2,700): Andrus has at least nine fantasy points in each of his last four games and five of his last six comity into play tonight.  He collected two hits for this second day in a row against Boston and has torn up the Red Sox this season going 8-16 (.500) with two doubles, and a triple.  Tonight, he’ll look to keep that going against Steven Wright which is a tricky matchup to predict.  While he isn’t a lock based on matchup, he is the best play under 3K.

High-Value Option: Andrelton Simmons-Los Angeles Angels (2,500): Simmons is 20-45 over his last 12 games, and he seems to be settling in after a long sting on the DL. He produced 38.1 fantasy points yesterday for my FanDuel daily picks and is a great value play again tonight after four multi-hit games in hi last five contests. Simmons historically hits better against lefties, so use him as a cheap option against Drew Smyly tonight. ∗∗
