High Salary OF

George Springer-Houston Astros (4,500): Of the outfielders at the top of the salary structure for tonight, my favorite is George Springer of the Astros who is mashing lefties like Wade LeBlanc this season and hitting extremely well at home where Houston hosts Seattle tonight.

Springer has a .934 OPS at Minute Maid Park and a .927 OPS against southpaws. He has hit safely in eight of his last nine games and has three homers in his last six contests.  Springer went 2-4 each of the last two days, and he’ll be very involved in the Astros attack again tonight as he looks to stay hot after starting July 7-18 (.389) with six runs scored and two homers. ∗∗∗

Mookie Betts-Boston Red Sox (4,000): Betts was on base three times last night but the rest of the Red Sox lineup couldn’t deliver.  He has at least nine fantasy points in five of his last seven games now and will look to keep that rolling against Martin Perez tonight.  He’s 2-3 in his career against Perez and is up to a .903 OPS at Fenway Park.  He will look to power the Red Sox attack tonight at Fenway after he and five of his teammates  learned yesterday that they’ll represent the AL in the All Star game.

Brett Gardner-New York Yankees (3,700): Gardner has gone 7-24 (.292) to start July after an impressive 4-6 game last night including his 11th double of the season.  He has a good career history against Chicago starter Miguel Gonzalez coming into tonight 9-26 (.346) against the former Oriole with four doubles. Gardner usually hits first or second in the Yankees lineup, so if you think the Yankees can put up some runs tonight against Gonzalez, Gardner is a play that makes a lot of sense.∗∗∗

Starling Marte-Pittsburgh Pirates (3,500): Marte has gone 1-4 with a stolen base in each of the first two games the Pirates have played in St. Louis this week. He’s now 18-46 (.391) against the Cards this season and has a solid .320 average overall on the year to go with an .836 OPS.  Marte is 0-2 against tonight’s starter Jaime Garcia, but he and the Pirates are can pass the Cards with a win tonight as they go for their seventh W in a row.
