The long awaited Pokemon GO is now available to download in the States after going live in Australia and New Zealand on Tuesday.

At E3, Nintendo promised that Pokemon GO, the company’s first major mobile game, would finally be released to the masses some time before the end of July. Well, it is July 6th, and Pokemon GO is here. Along with the launch on both iOS and Android came a brand new trailer.

Pokemon GO is the game every Pokemon fan has dreamed of because it allows the player to become a real life Pokemon trainer. Using the smartphone’s camera, the “augmented reality” game makes it appear as if the Pokemon a player is trying to catch is right there in front of them. In addition to the Pokemon all around a player, various locations are turned into gyms and other common locations from the Pokemon universe.

The game went live in the U.S. just before 9 pm ET, but Pokemon GO was released in Australia and New Zealand on Tuesday, which has led to a flood of pictures of the gameplay floating around the internet — particularly of Magikarp, who is appearing everywhere, a lot of the time no where near water.

Now that the game is out, you can now see for yourselves where Pokemon will randomly  appear in your life. Pokemon GO is available for Android and iOS devices and can be downloaded through Google Play and the App Store. It is a free-to-play game, so it is free to download, but there are in-app purchases that can be made.
