Pokemon Go cheat codes and unlockables

Pokemon Go is all the rage right now, but are there cheat codes you can use to get head in the game?

The craze is only just beginning with Pokemon Go, as this weekend saw millions of people download the game and get started with their adventure.

It’s been years since the Pokemon craze in the late 90s swept the public like Pokemon Go has, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a perfect time to get in. The real question you might have is where to get cheat codes to get ahead in the game and become the best Pokemon master you can.

Right now there isn’t an abundance of cheat codes that you can type in and use on Pokemon Go, and there might not ever be. That doesn’t mean there aren’t workarounds to get ahead in the game, with the most popular being how to start with Pikachu as your main Pokemon.

To do that, here’s what you do:

1. Download the game, create your account
2. Deny and reject all starter Pokemon that try to join your team
3. Keep denying Pokemon and eventually Pikachu will appear
4. Capture and begin your adventure with everyone’s favorite electrified Pokemon

While there might not be a ton of cheat codes to sift through, we do know what you can unlock in the game as you level up:

• Level 2 – Poke Ball x10
• Level 3 – Poke Ball x15
• Level 4 – Poke Ball x15
• Level 5 – Poke Ball x20, Potion x10, Revive x10, Incense
• Level 6 – Poke Ball x15, Potion x10, Revive x5, Egg Incubator
• Level 7 – Poke Ball x15, Potion x10, Revive x5, Incense
• Level 8 – Poke Ball x15, Potion x10, Revive x5, Razz Berry x10, Lure Module
• Level 9 – Poke Ball x15, Potion x10, Revive x5, Razz Berry x3, Lucky Egg

As the game goes through updates, there might be more cheat codes that pop up but for now you’re going to to have to go about things the proper way.
