4. Cleveland Indians

Maybe not as obvious of a potential destination as the Cubs, but after LeBron James led the Cleveland Cavaliers to a title, “The Land” may quickly become a hot-spot for big-time athletes.

The Cleveland Indians are one of the most interesting teams in baseball. With an incredible pitching staff and an extremely talented mix of position players, the Indians are one of the best teams in baseball at 52-36.

Any Trout to Cleveland talks would probably begin with Francisco Lindor for the Angels. Lindor is probably the best defensive shortstop in all of baseball, and is also an incredibly dangerous hitter with massive upside at the plate.

At 22-years-old, he is one of the most talented and exciting young players in all of baseball. The Indians would obviously be interested in Trout, but I am not sure they would bit on any package involving Lindor.

That makes this potential deal tough, but not impossible. The Indians have an incredible mix of impact MLB starting pitching and a solid minor league system behind them.

A package involving a big-time starting pitcher or two like Carlos Carrasco, Danny Salazar or Trevor Bauer along with top outfield prospects Clint Frazier and Bradley Zimmer may be enough to get the Angels interested.
