4. Brandon Phillips to Dodgers

This will be another tough one to pull off for the Reds. Phillips, like Votto, has a no trade clause. Unlike Votto, he just has one year left on his deal.

When thinking about his no trade clause, a team such as Los Angeles should be a potential place of interest. They have the city value and are a team capable of winning. If playing time is the problem, he will see some. The question will be how much will he want.

When looking at the Dodgers, Chase Utley and Howie Kendrick come to mind at second base. However, Kendrick has played the majority of his games this season in left field. The Dodgers have been cycling through outfielders, and currently have Joc Pederson and KK Hernandez joining Andre Either on the disabled list.

Chase Utley is in a platoon at second base, and adding a split with Phillips would be a strong one. Utley is hitting .277 against right handers, and Phillips is hitting .300 against lefties. They can keep Kendrick in the outfield full time for this season and can help in the depth department when it comes to their injury luck.

The Dodgers obviously would have no problem taking his contract, and moving Phillips opens the door for a young prospect such as Jose Peraza for the Reds. Both teams would gain what they are looking for and it could be a good fit for both sides.
