6. 1933 All-Star Game
The inaugural All-Star Game has to go on this list for its historical significance in starting the entire tradition, but also because it was a quality game in the first ever mid-season battle between the best of the American League and National League.
In a game that was highlighted by Lou Gehrig and Babe Ruth for the American League, the Yankees legend made the difference with a two-run home run from Ruth that gave the AL the first ever All-Star win to start off a tradition that has been played ever since.
Over 49,000 attended the game and the spectacle of the best players in both leagues teaming up for a one-off game was an instant hit, helping to propel the popularity of the sport to make baseball forever known as America’s pastime.
