5. 1971 All-Star Game

While the 1967 All-Star Game was one of the greatest pitching performances in All-Star Game history, the 1971 All-Star Game helped usher in a new era in the 1970s where dominant hitting began to make its return after the pitching dominated decade of the 1960s.

In a game that featured a long list of Hall of Famers in both lineups, Johnny Bench, Harmon Killebrew, Roberto Clemente, Hank Aaron, Frank Robinson and Reggie Jackson all went deep in a game that was dominated by home runs from some of the greatest power hitters of all-time.

This game also featured the legendary Reggie Jackson home run that hit the right field tower at Tiger Stadium, a home run that was believed to be over 500 feet and is still remembered as one of the most iconic images in All-Star Game history.

The American League would win the highlight-filled game 6-4 as a night filled with home runs by Hall of Famers puts the 1971 All-Star Game easily in the Top 10.
