MLB Trade Deadline: 5 best spots for Chris Archer
By Jason Parker
In the 1990’s and 2000’s, it was all about making fun of the New York Yankees for their overspending on players and not having much to show for it (aside from the five World Series titles in the two decades). That title of being the team that underachieves seems to have moved out west and relocated to SoCal.
Right now, the top goal is making sure that Clayton Kershaw gets back into the starting rotation and is healthy for the rest of the season. The Dodgers could use another starter that would compliment him in a rotation that wants to make a late push to overtake the Giants in the NL West.
Plus, lets be honest: the Dodgers have no problem spending whatever it takes and giving up what they have to in order to get someone like Archer into the rotation. If it means giving up a veteran players and some minor league talent, that’s the cost of doing business in the eyes of the team’s front office.
