4. Baltimore Orioles

Similarly to trading Pineda to the Blue Jays, this could be tough due to the inter-division rivalry. The two teams have made trades in the past decade, but nothing has really been too significant in the past 20-plus years. The Orioles may hate to give young talent to the Yankees, but if the playoffs are on the line, and they can add a starter, they may pull the trigger.

The Orioles have struggled to find a reliable rotation all season, and recently moved Ubaldo Jimenez, who is second on the team in starts to the bullpen. Tyler Wilson and Mike Wright have 25 combined starts this season and combined have an ERA of 5.58. Both pitchers have been optioned to AAA for former prospect Dylan Bundy and journeyman Vance Worley who have taken their spots.

It is extremely safe to say that the Orioles could use an arm or two in the rotation. The Orioles need starting pitching a bit more than the Blue Jays, and if Pineda were to stay in the American League East, it would appear the Orioles are the best fit.

That all said, the Orioles will obviously be hesitant to move a prospect of value into the Yankees farm system. While on paper the Orioles and Blue Jays will certainly be interested, it is tough to say either will be able to pull the trigger on a deal for Pineda.
