Catcher

High-Salary Option: Wilson Ramos-Washington Nationals (3,900):  Ramos has hit safely in nine straight games dating back to before the break and is 7-22 (.318) in the last week.  He is hitting a robust .329 on the season and is in a good matchup tonight as the Nats host the Padres and face Luis Perdomo who enters with a 7.36 ERA and 1.95 WHIP on the season.∗∗∗∗

Mid-range Option: J.T. Realmuto-Miami Marlins (3,300): Realmuto got a routine day off yesterday, but he should return to the leadoff spot tonight against the Mets.  Realmuto is 19-52 (.352) in July and has three multi-hit games in his last seven.  He’ll be in a good spot to produce against Logan Verrett tonight who he has gone 2-5 against in the past.∗∗∗

Mid-Range Option: Willson Contreras-Chicago Cubs (3,200): Contras and the Cubs take on the Brewers in homer-friendly Miller Park tonight making them an attractive stack option along with the Nats and Red Sox.  Contreras has hit safely in seven of his last eight games with double-digit fantasy points in four of his last ten.  He has continued to find ways to get involved and contribute for the Cubs, and is one of the better bats you can but behind the plate.∗∗

Mid-Range Option: Sandy Leon-Boston Red Sox (3,000)Leon went 2-4 with a triple and a homer totaling 34.4 fantasy points on Wednesday night before getting last night off as Ryan Hanigan caught knuckleballer Steven Wright.  Leon should be back behind the plate tonight in a great matchup against Kyle Gibson and the Twins.  He has potential to go off for a huge night as evidence by the four games with over 24 fantasy points in his last ten contests.  He has gone 16-39 (.410) to start the month and has a 1.154 OPS.  On the season, he has a 1.198 OPS and continues to mash as Boston’s everyday backstop.∗∗∗∗

High-Value Option: Stephen Vogt-Oakland Athletics (2,800): Vogt has been hitting well this month so it’s somewhat surprising to see him available at under 3K. He is 16-45 (.356) in July and 8-21 (.381) since the All Star break.  Vogt is  up to .285 on the season with an OPS of .782. Tonight, he and the A’s finish the night in the late game against Chris Archer who Vogt is 2-3 against in his career including a home run.

High-Value Option: Jason Castro-Houston Astros (2,400): Castro has shown some signs of snapping out of season-long funk lately and is 5-15 (.333) with a triple since the All Star break.  Tonight, he’ll face righty Matt Shoemaker in Houston. Shoemaker is coming off a great start in his last outing, but the Astros have hit him pretty well in his career. Castro is 3-14 with a double off him in their previous meetings.
