High Salary OF

Mookie Betts-Boston Red Sox (4,100): Betts went 3-5 including a leadoff homer yesterday against the Twins after going 3-5 the night before against the Giants.  He is now 27-67 (.403) in July with three home runs, eight RBI, and 11 runs scored.  He raised his average on the season to .306 with an OPS of .871.  Tonight, Betts will face the Twins’ Kyle Gibson who is is 1-3 against in his career.  I expect the Sox offense to keep rolling at Fenway and Betts is a huge part of that from the top of the lineup. ∗∗

Ian Desmond-Texas Rangers (3,800): Desmond and the Rangers are home in Arlington tonight as they host the Royals and lefty Danny Duffy.  Desmond is having a huge season for Texas hitting .319 with a healthy .907 OPS.  He has been even better at home with an OPS of just over 1.000 and especially effective against lefties who he has gone 39-97 (.402) against with an OPS of 1.041.  Desmond hasn’t faced Duffy in his career but coming off consecutive three-hit games he’s a good play tonight.

Corey Dickerson-Tampa Bay Rays (3,700): Dickerson is coming off a great series in Colorado in which he went 8-13 over his last three games with a double, triple, and home run posting totals of 21.9, 21.4, and 28.7 fantasy points. He’ll be back out of the altitude tonight as he faces the A’s Sean Manaea if he gets the starting nod tonight. Even though it will be a lefty-lefty matchup, he’s still worth a look given his run of recent success.

Giancarlo Stanton-Miami Marlins (3,600): Stanton struggled in the Marlins trip to Philadelphia who have had his number all year (2-30).  Tonight, he’ll be much happier to see the Mets who he has hit five of his 20 homers against this season while going 7-29 (.241).  He’ll be in a good matchup against Logan Verrett as he looks to get back on track after starting July looking ready to put his early season slump being him. He has huge upside and is a pretty good value if you can dismiss his recent struggles against the Phils.

Ender Inciarte-Atlanta Braves (3,600): Inciarte has hit safely in nine of his last ten games and has produced at least 12 fantasy points in five of his last seven.  Tonight, he’ll face the Rockies who he has gone 7-13 (.538) against this season after a 2-3 night last night.  Inciarte is still hitting just .241 on the year after a 9-24 (.375) run to start the second half, but he’ll look to continue to produce good numbers in a game that should be high-scoring tonight in Denver.

Carlos Gonzalez-Colorado Rockies (3,500): If you want another OF option from that game at Coors, check out CarGo who hit his 20th long ball of the season last night. He’s now 7-23 (.304) since the All Star break, but is an even more impressive 63-175 (.360) at home this year with a 1.110 OPS.  Even for Coors Field, that’s pretty impressive. Gonzalez is 0-8 against tonight’s starter Julio Teheran, but at just 3,500 he is a great buy for Coors Field.

Ryan Braun-Milwaukee Brewers (3,500): Braun has been a bit forgotten up in Milwaukee, but he has hit in six straight games since the All Star break going 8-23 (.348) with a triple and seven runs scored.  He comes into tonight 8-23 (.348) against Cubs’ starter Jason Hammel with a double and a pair of home runs. Braun has a solid .315 average and .879 OPS on the season and will probably be a name people are talking about leading up to the trade deadline with the Brewers out of contention in the NL Central.

Christian Yelich-Miami Marlins (3,400): Yelich is 24-69 (.348) in July and has connected on three homers while driving in 14.  He has raised his average to .318 with a .881 OPS with two homers in his last three games, and is another Marlins hitter to get in your lineup as he comes home to face Logan Verrett and the Mets.
