Third Baseman

High-Salary Option: Nolan Arenado-Colorado Rockies (4,700): Arenado was in action at home last night and looked comfortable going 2-4 with a triple and a home run on his way to 31.2 fantasy points. Arenado is still hitting just .258 in July, but his home OPS of 1.017 makes him worth a look any time he plays at Coors. He’s in a good matchup tonight against Matt Wisler who he went 1-3 with a double against earlier this season.  Wisler has give up 5+ earned runs in each of his last two starts with five homers in those two contests, so look for Arenado and the Rockies to pile up good fantasy production in the Mile High City tonight.∗∗∗∗

Mid-Range Option: Kris Bryant-Chicago Cubs (3,900)Bryant is 19-61 (.311) so far in July with four doubles, three homers and five RBI.  He went 1-5 yesterday with a double in the Cubs’ 5-2 win, and he’ll look to keep producing tonight against Zach Davies of the Brewers.  Bryant has a very solid .935 OPS for the season, so getting him under 4K in homer-happy Miller Park is a nice option.∗∗∗

Mid-Range Option: Justin Turner-Los Angeles Dodgers (3,400)Turner is also off to a hot start to July and comes in 22-69 (.319) so far this month after going 2-7 in last night’s 16-inning affair including a solo home run.  He now has 18 homers on the year with six coming in his last ten games.  He and the Dodgers will look to even their series with St. Louis tonight against Mike Leake who Turner is 7-15 (.467) against in his career. ∗∗∗∗

High-Value Option: Cheslor Cuthbert-Kansas City Royals (2,900): Cuthbert came through as a solid play from my FanDuel daily picks yesterday taking Yu Darvish deep while going 1-4.  He is 23-61 (.377) now in July with two homers and 13 RBI.  Tonight, he’ll be in another tough matchup against Cole Hamels, but he has become an important part of the Royals lineup and is a nice value at under 3K.

High-Value Option: Jedd Gyorko-St. Louis Cardinals (2,600): Gyorko has a dozen homers on the year and has hit five long balls in his last five games while posting at least 12 fantasy points in seven of his last nine starts. With so many injuries plaguing the Cardinals he picked a good time to get hot and is 17-43 (.395) in July and 10-23 (.435) over the last week while also finding his power stroke.
