High Value OF

Delino DeShields-Texas Rangers (3,600): DeShields has been a nice addition for the Rangers and has been starting since being called up after Shin-Soo Choo was put on the DL. DeShields went 2-3 with a double and a homer on Sunday and 1-4 on Monday before getting yesterday off.  I expect him to be back in there tonight, though, and he could be a nice option since I feel like Texas will score plenty of runs off of lefty Sean Manaea.

Carlos Beltran-New York Yankees (3,500): Beltran has enjoyed his return to Houston so far going 4-9 with a double and a run scored in the Yankees’ first two games against the Astros in this series.  Beltran has now hit safely in eight of his last ten games with multiple hits in seven of those contests. e is 11-27 (.407) one the last week and 28-80 (.350) in July.  While the Yankees may move Beltran for the right price, he’s definitely swinging a hot bat right now and is a good play tonight against Lance McCullers and the Astros.

Melky Cabrera-Chicago White Sox (3,500): Cabrera has hit safely in 11 straight games after going 1-4 last night against the Cubs. He is 24-72 (.333) this month and 10-29 (.345) in the last week.  While his power numbers haven’t been there yet this month, he has made good contact and cut down his strikeout rate making him a good play tonight at Wrigley especially against Jason Hammel who he is 5-16 (.313) against in his career with a pair of homers and five RBI. ∗∗

Coco Crisp-Oakland Athletics (2,800): Crisp went 2-4 with a double and a home run last night against the Rangers but is still just 12-59 (.203) in July.  The reason he makes sense as a flier tonight is that he has hit Yu Darvish well in his career. Crisp is 7-21 (.333) against the Rangers’ Ace with a triple, homer, and eight RBI on his way to a .956 OPS.∗∗
