Third Baseman

High-Salary Option: Adrian Beltre-Texas Rangers (5,100)Beltre has been starting to hit lately for the Rangers, and his value has picked up as a result.  He has multiple hits in three of his last four games and opened the series against the A’s going 4-5 on Monday with a pair of homers for a massive 38 fantasy points. Beltre now has 16 long balls on the season and a .801 OPS.  Tonight, he makes an especially good play against lefty Sean Manaea since he is 29-89 (.326) against southpaws on the season with a .916 OPS. ∗∗∗∗

Mid-Range Option: Nolan Arenado-Colorado Rockies (4,900): Arenado has heated up after a tepid start to the month and has bone 8-24 (.333) over the last week with a double, a triple, and three homers.  Those three long balls have come in his last five games and he has seven RBI over that stretch as well.

Tonight, Arenado and the Rockies look to take their second in a row from the Orioles as they face Dylan Bundy.  Arenado definitely rakes at home at Coors Field, but he has a solid .847 OPS on the road as well and has a .960 OPS since the All Star Break which shows he’s starting to pick things up coming into tonight’s favorable matchup in Baltimore.∗∗∗∗

Mid-Range Option: Jedd Gyorko-St. Louis Cardinals (4,800): Gyorko continued his power binge with homers in both games of yesterday’s double-header and now has hit seven of his 14 homers this month.  He is 19-58 (.328) overall in July and has become a staple in the Cardinals lineup that has been depleted by injuries.  Gyorko is a good play again tonight as he faces Logan Verrett.

Mid-Range Option: Adonis Garcia-Atlanta Braves (4,100): While over 4K seems like a lot to pay for any Braves’ hitter, Garcia has been producing plenty of big enough numbers to deserve a look at this price as he and the Braves take on the Twins and Tyler Duffey tonight. Garcia is 26-78 (.333) this month and 7-20 (.350) over the last week with a pair of homers.  He connected on a home run last night in the Braves’ 2-0 win over Minnesota to extend his hitting streak to eight games.  In four of those eight games, he has had multiple hits and has extra base hits in six of those outings.∗∗∗

High-Value Option: Cheslor Cuthbert-Kansas City Royals (3,300): Cuthbert is one of the few Royals bats that has been producing this month as the defending Champs have sunk below .500.  Cuthbert is 27-76 (.355) so far this month, though, with two homers and 13 RBI.  He has been hovering around the .300 mark lately and will look to get over that line tonight as he faces Matt Shoemaker and the Angels.  If you have to spend under 4K, Cuthbert is a great value to target.
