High Value OF

Kole Calhoun-Los Angeles Angels (3,100): Calhoun has had a nice season batting #2 in the Angels lineup and has especially had success against lefties.  Calhoun is 29-94 (.309) southpaws this year with a .860 OPS.  Tonight, he’ll take on lefty Danny Duffy who he is 0-3 against in his career, but Calhoun is coming off a big game last night in which he went 2-5 with a double and four RBI.  The Angels lineup has bee productive lately and with Trout and Pujols behind him, Calhoun has some definite fantasy value.

Melky Cabrera-Chicago White Sox (3,000): Cabrera has hit safely in 11 straight games after going 1-4 last night against the Cubs. He is 24-72 (.333) this month and 10-29 (.345) in the last week.  While his power numbers haven’t been there yet this month, he has made good contact and cut down his strikeout rate making him a good play tonight at Wrigley especially against Jason Hammel who he is 5-16 (.313) against in his career with a pair of homers and five RBI.

Adam Eaton-Chicago White Sox (2,900): Cabrera’s teammate Adam Eaton is also a good play tonight since he is 9-26 (.346) over the last week with a pair of homers and six RBI.  He homered yesterday while going 1-3 against the Cubs and raised his OPS to .958 since the All Star break.  He hasn’t faced Jason Hammel before, but his recent hot streak makes him worth considering at this price tonight.

Leonys Martin-Seattle Mariners (2,700): Martin has shown some encouraging signs at the plate lately and is 6-20 (.300) over the last week with a double, a pair of homers, and four RBI.  He will be in a tough matchup against Gerrit Cole tonight, but he’s one of the better bargain plays of the night.

Delino DeShields-Texas Rangers (2,300): DeShields has been a nice addition for the Rangers and has been starting since being called up after Shin-Soo Choo was put on the DL. DeShields went 2-3 with a double and a homer on Sunday and 1-4 on Monday before getting yesterday off.  I expect him to be back in there tonight, though, and he could be a great value play since I feel like Texas will score plenty of runs off of lefty Sean Manaea.
