DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy baseball lineup-July 28
High Value OF
Adam Eaton-Chicago White Sox (3,800): Eaton took the collar yesterday going 0-4 in the White Sox loss in Wrigley. He still comes into tonight’s game hot, though, going 8-24 with a double and a home run over the last week. He is 2-4 with an RBI in his career against tonight’s starter John Lackey, and I think he and the White Sox offense will get back on track after being held down by Jason Hammel last night. ∗∗∗
Denard Span-San Francisco Giants (3,500): Span didn’t start yesterday against the Reds going 0-1 as a pinch hitter. He had six games with multiple hits in his nine previous contests before getting yesterday off, and he’ll look to get back in the groove against his former team the Nationals tonight. Span doesn’t have a super-high ceiling since he doesn’t hit for much power, but he almost always producing something making him relatively low-risk as well.∗∗∗
Kendrys Morales-Kansas City Royals (3,500): Morales went 0-11 in the three games he just played against his former team the Angels, but he’ll look to get things turned back around as he faces Cole Hamels and the Rangers tonight. Morales is hitting just .200 for the month of July, but throughout the season he has consistently hit lefties well (.873 OPS) and is 3-6 lifetime against Hamels including a home run and a double. He’s a roll of the dice, but he has definitely has upside tonight.∗∗
Melky Cabrera-Chicago White Sox (3,400): Cabrera disappointed me and his other owners last night going 0-3 with a walk against the Cubs as the White Sox fell 8-1. He is still hitting .320 (24-75) this month and will look to get back on track tonight against John Lackey. Cabrera is 11-36 (.306) in his career against Lackey with two doubles and a home run, so I like him to be a nice play at 3K tonight.∗∗∗∗
Aaron Altherr-Philadeplhia Phillies (3,300): Altherr is expected to make his season debut tonight as he comes off the 60-day DL while Peter Bourjos heads to the DL. Altherr is one of the Phillies top prospects and hit .351 with a .986 OPS during his rehab stint. It’s impossible to know exactly what to expect from Altherr, but he’s definitely a name to monitor since playing time is available for him in Philadelphia. ∗∗
