Third Baseman

High-Salary Option: Adrian Beltre-Texas Rangers (3,900): Beltre’s 2-4 last night raised his numbers for the past week to 10-24 (.417) with a double, three homers, and seven RBI.  He is hitting the ball extremely well with multiple hits in four of his last five games and two walks in the other contest during that stretch. Beltre should be in a matchup for success as well since he is 5-12 (.417) against Royals’ starter Yordano Ventura with two doubles and three RBI. He’s the 3B I’d spend on tonight if you have the cash since Kris Bryant has to deal with Chris Sale in his matchup. ∗∗∗

Mid-Range Option: Maikel Franco-Philadelphia Phillies (3,300): Franco went 2-4 against the Marlins yesterday and is 26-82 (.317) this month with five homers bringing him up to 18 on the season. He has enjoyed facing tonight’s starter Matt Wisler coming into tonight’s start 5-9 against Wisler with two doubles, a homer, and a pair of RBI.  Franco has a much better OPS on the road (.959) than at home (.593), so it’s actually a good thing for him that the game tonight is in Atlanta.  Four of his 18 homers this season have come against the Braves, and he’ll look to continues his success against them tonight. ∗∗∗∗

Mid-Range Option: Martin Prado-Miami Marlins (3,100): Prado doesn’t have the potential pop of Franco, but he has been continually productive for Miami throughout the season.  He is 12-25 (.480) over the last week and 29-82 (.354) so far in July. He doesn’t hit for a ton of power, so his OPS is just .794, but he has been producing something in some category almost every night. In fact, Prado has double-digit fantasy points in four of his last five games coming into tonight’s game against Michael Wacha. ∗∗∗

High-Value Option: Adonis Garcia-Atlanta Braves (2,700): Garcia has gone 28-83 (.337) this month and 8-21 (.381) over the last week.  He hast hit safely in nine straight games coming into tonight with multiple hits in five of those nine contests.  Garcia has gone 0-4 against tonight’s starter Aaron Nola, but the sample size is small enough for his current form to overcome and make him a nice play at under 3K. ∗∗∗∗

High-Value Option: Anthony Rendon-Washington Nationals (2,400): Rendon is available at a reduced price since he’s taking on Johnny Cueto, but he has been hitting pretty well lately and may be worth a flier look.  He has multiple hits in four of his last eight games including three homers during that span although the did go 0-3 yesterday in Cleveland.∗∗
