Bryant leads the league in both fWAR (5.7) and bWAR (5.2) by solid margins, and given that he plays for one of the best teams in baseball, the narrative is also strong. The 24-year-old plays multiple defensive positions at a high level, bringing extra value to the table, and Bryant’s production at the plate has been dominant. He is the runaway favorite to capture the Rookie of the Year award, and while he likely won’t win MVP, Seager’s combination of elite defense and a strong bat at a premium position is incredibly valuable.
