Day three of Olympics table tennis is in the books and the men’s and women’s third and fourth rounds are completed. Just eight players remain on both sides and the quarterfinals will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 9, in Rio de Janeiro.

The 2016 Rio Olympics have been exciting to watch thus far as top events such as men’s basketball, swimming and gymnastics have taken center stage, but table tennis doesn’t get as much love as it should. These athletes from countries all over the world have some of the best hand-eye coordination of anyone.

Round three came with plenty of upsets in both the men’s and women’s singles, but these underdogs have a lot to prove still with quarterfinals Tuesday, semifinals on Wednesday and the bronze and gold medal matches on Thursday to close the event for this year’s Olympics.

With the closing of the single’s brackets on Thursday, the team brackets will open on Friday with the first round, followed by quarterfinals on Saturday, semifinals on Sunday and Monday and the conclusion of 2016 Olympics table tennis on Wednesday with the men’s medal matches.

Keep an eye out for potential upsets, but China will look to repeat as gold medal winners just as they did in 2012.
