AFC South

Houston Texans (81 Team Rating) – Using the Texans in Madden 17 means that you’re looking to finally tap into that potential of the Houston Texans offense. Maybe you saw the few glimpses of Brock Oswiler and think to yourself, hey it won’t be so bad after all. Or, maybe you take over the Texans cause you like murdering the QB, something the Texans defense is good at.

Indianapolis Colts (79 Team Rating) – With the Colts low rating, running with the Colts in franchise mode means you are destined to do a much better job than current Colts GM Ryan Grigson.

Jacksonville Jaguars (78 Team Rating) – You want a project? Using the Jags in franchise mode is the ultimate project. So many young players but unlike previous years, you actually have a chance to build a contender with teams in the division taking a step back. It make take a year or two but success is coming your way.

Tennessee Titans (82 Team Rating) – How are they the highest rated team in the division? Aside from that, using this team would be good if you want to continue the growth of quarterback Marcus Mariota and young defense. Seriously though, how are they the highest rated team in the division.

AFC North 

Baltimore Ravens (83 Team Rating) – Taking over for Baltimore means you’re trying to take advantage of the last two or three seasons that the Ravens have as a contender for the AFC Crown. If you draft like they do, 2-3 seasons will turn into 5-6 seasons of being contenders.

Cincinnati Bengals (84 Team Rating) – If you use the Bengals, then you more than likely have the goal of getting them out of the first round of the playoffs because that’s the only time you may see it happen.

Cleveland Browns (73 Team Rating) – Full disclosure, I’m a Browns fan and and even I wouldn’t want to use this team in Franchise mode. Either you’re a genius or a sadist for using the Browns, I mean nobody willing uses the Browns in franchise mode.

Pittsburgh Steelers (85 Team Rating) – Playing with the Pittsburgh Steelers in Franchise Mode may be one of the easiest things one could do on Madden 17. They’re built for the future better than any other contending franchise. Clearly you don’t like being challenged in life if you take over the Steelers.
