The U.S. has a full team in place for the Equestrian Dressage competition at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics. The Grand Prix phase of the discipline starts at 9 a.m. ET and continues through the day. It is available on the NBC Sports app.

The Rio Olympics’ Equestrian Spectator Guide describes the dressage competition:

"The goal is that the horse and the athlete reach perfect harmony while executing the course alternating free and mandatory movements, such as walk, trot, gallop and halt. Free movements present special choreographies for each horse and are followed by music. Seven judges assess each performance, giving points from 1 to 10. After being totaled-up, this score generates a percentage, and the rider or team with the highest rate is the winner."

Representing the U.S. A., and their order of go, are:

11th Allison M. Brock riding Rosevelt

27th Kasey Perry-Glass riding Dublet

42nd Steffen Peters riding Legolas 92

55th Laura Graves riding Verdades

Allison started riding horses in Hawaii when she was seven years old. When she turned 17, she left the island to begin her dressage career in the continental U.S. She currently rides Rosevelt, a Hanoverian stallion. She lives in Wellington, Florida.

Kasey is making her Olympic debut at the 2016 Rio Games. She currently competes with Dublet, a Danish Warmblood. She lives in Wellington, Florida.

Steffen made his Olympic debut at the 1996 Atlanta Games, four years after becoming a US citizen. He made his third Olympic appearance at the 2012 London Games. He lives in San Diego, California.

Laura Graves began riding ponies as a child. She made her international debut in 2014. She competes with Verdades, a Dutch Warmblood. She lives in Geneva, Florida.
