Live stream info and how to watch the women’s 3m springboard final in Olympics diving online on Sunday, August 14

After what was a shocking and exciting semifinal round in the women’s 3m springboard Olympics diving event, the final has arrived. On Sunday, August 14, the 12 top divers (and two alternates) will step to the end of the board and attempt to deliver their best efforts. A couple of perfect dives could mean a gold medal. However, one misstep may end all hopes of ending up on the podium.

The duo of Chinese divers in Tingmao Shi and Zi He dominated the semifinal of the Olympics diving final. Finishing first and second—Shi in first by a wide margin—they come into Sunday as the favorites.

However, there were definite surprises on Saturday in the semifinal. One of the bronze medal contenders in Italy’s Tania Cagnotto qualified, but quite unconvincingly. She’ll hope for a far better result in the final. Meanwhile, Canada’s Jennifer Abel came through with a masterful showing to finish third in qualifying and establish herself coming into qualifying.

Only one Team USA diver is in the women’s 3m springboard final in Abigail Johnston. Kassidy Cook qualified as a reserve, but all know there’s a chance her number won’t get called. Regardless, the finals should deliver all of the drama on Sunday afternoon as these divers look to achieve Olympic glory.
