5) Sasha Banks retains the WWE Women’s Championship

If there was one thing that we all were absolutely sure of when it came to predicting what would happen at SummerSlam this year, it was Sasha Banks being the one to finally take the Women’s Championship off Charlotte. Seeing as not only she was the one being groomed to be the next champ, but that this is the same venue where she dropped the NXT Women’s title to Bayley last year in that all-time classic bout, the writing was on the wall.

But a few weeks ago on the first live RAW following the WWE Draft, we were all pleasantly stunned when that turned out to be the moment that the “Boss” was crowned the queen of the WWE Women’s division. While the timing was a bit perplexing, no one was mad about it one bit, including yours truly.

Naturally, a rematch was set for SummerSlam this Sunday night between Banks and Charlotte, and in this match, Sasha needs to solidify that she is indeed the woman that runs the show when it comes to the Women’s division on RAW every Monday. Pulling a title switch this early would whittle down the validity of the title at the moment, and with how well the Women’s division has progressed from where it used to be, that belt needs to be held in the highest esteem. Banks having a lengthy reign even remotely close to the one that Charlotte had would do wonders for both this young lady and the company as well.

Not to mention, there are a lot of options for the future, with one in particular being Nia Jax. After being taken in the Draft by Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon, Jax has been booked in a series of squashes that are making her out to look like the monster she should be perceived as. With this, it’s only natural that at some point in the future she’s coming for one of the biggest babyfaces in WWE right now, Sasha Banks.

Whether that’s the plan or not, Sasha Banks needs to walk out of Barclays Center differently than she did at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn last year — with gold around her waist.
