3) AJ Styles takes down John Cena, clean as a whistle

Back at WWE Money in the Bank, AJ Styles defeated John Cena in their long-awaited one-on-one match that fans have waited years for. Although, Styles was able to get the win with the help of Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, so not only did we all know that there would be a rematch, probably at SummerSlam, but we also knew in the back of our minds that it would be an easy win for John Cena; you know, that 50/50 booking they’re famous for and such when it comes to ” The Face That Runs the Place.”

But what if that weren’t to happen on Sunday night in Brooklyn? What if Styles were able to defeat Cena just by doing what he has made a career out of — just being that much better than the other person that he’s in the ring with, both in reality and kayfabe?

If there were ever a time to buck the trend of the 50/50 booking when it comes to Cena, it might be at SummerSlam this year. Cena is rumored to be taking time off from full-time work pretty soon once again, meaning that he won’t be around as much as in the past. But as for Styles, he will most certainly be working a full-time schedule, and as we all have seen since he finally arrived to WWE back in the month of January, he’s doing probably the best work of his career with the opportunity that he has been afforded, finally.

The reality is that should Ambrose actually keep the title on the blue brand after his match with Ziggler, then Styles would make the most sense as his next opponent, seeing as he’s ready to take the reins as the top heel on the Smackdown brand. Of course, this means that we could see something that we all never ever thought we’d see — Styles as the WWE Champion. Just imagine it for a second. You know that you have in the past, but now picture it and realize that it can be in our lives in the very near future.

For that to happen, though, he needs to get the clean, decisive win over the biggest star the company has had over the last decade.
