Latavius Murray-Oakland Raiders

Murray finished just outside the top-ten fantasy football RB last season, but I think he’s poised to make the leap to be a true RB1 this year, and you can still get hm for a very affordable investment. Murray finished last season with 1,066 rushing yards and six touchdown while adding 232 more yards on 41 catches.

This year, the Raiders offense should continue to improve. Derek Carr and Amari Cooper will have another year of growth, and the Raiders have invested time and money this offseason fortifying their offensive line. Their big addition (in more ways than one) was Kelechi Osemele who should help their line be one of the better run-blocking units in the NFL.

Murray should be lined up for another heavy workload and Coach Jack Del Rio has said he’d like him to finish with even more carries than last year.  With an improving offense around him and the chance to shine, Murray could definitely be a top-10 RB if he can stay healthy again like he did last year.

Right now, Murray is being drafted as the 17th running back off the board according to the consensus ADP on fantasypros.com. That placed him al the way a the end of the fourth round.  Murray didn’t make headlines with huge games last season, but his steady production and big opportunity make him a very value-filled way to get a breakout RB who could be an RB1.
