It is impossible to think about John Stockton or Karl Malone without immediately thinking about the other. For the better part of two decades, Stockton and Malone dominated their competition. Stockton, the NBA’s career assists leader, was a perfect point guard. He ran flawless pick and rolls with power forward Malone. Both players are among the best players ever. The duo led the Jazz to two NBA Finals. They will likely both be in the Basketball Hall of Fame. It’s a darn shame that they won’t be able to go in together.

Steve Young is perhaps the most famous alum of Brigham Young University. The dual threat quarterback spent most of his early career backing up Joe Montana. Young had some huge shoes to fill, but he filled them quite admirably.

Danny Ainge is another Brigham Young University alum. After a successful playing career, Ainge is now the leader of the Celtics front office, in which capacity he has led the team to an NBA title.
