Ranking 32 NFL coaches you’d want to have a beer with
Chip Kelly. Need I say more? Love him or hate him, he’s one of the most entertaining personalities in the league today. The former Oregon head coach made his NFL debut in 2013 as the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles and took the team to the playoffs in his first season, where they lost in the first round.
Outside of his coaching career, though, no one knows anything about Kelly. The man might as well not even exist off the gridiron. I want to sit down with Chip to learn about Chip the man. Nothing to do with football. I just want the opportunity to learn something, anything, about who Chip Kelly is and what makes him tick.
As Kelly heads into his first year as skipper of the San Francisco 49ers, he is once again surrounded by more questions than answers. Can he turn Colin Kaepernick into the success he was under Jim Harbaugh? Will he be able to relate to his players, which was a major criticism during his stint in Philadelphia? Who is he? Is he a robot?
So many questions asked, so few answers to be had. A beer with Kelly might afford the right platform to finally get some answers.
