player. 55. . Head Coach. Pittsburgh Steelers. Mike Tomlin. 5

Finally we’ve made it to the last Mike in the countdown. There are a total of five NFL head coaches named Mike, which adds up to 15 percent of the overall head coaching pool.

Mike Tomlin is the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and is entering his 10th season with the club. Known for his sideline antics and textbook stoicism, Tomlin has been a controversial figure at times. Remember the Thanksgiving Day game against the Ravens when Tomlin may or may not have interfered with Jacoby Jones’ kickoff return?

Regardless, Tomlin has been a fantastic NFL head coach, taking the Steelers to the Super Bowl twice, with one win (in his second season) and one heartbreaking loss to Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. Tomlin became the youngest head coach in NFL history to lead his team to a Super Bowl victory.

Tomlin has a vibrant personality and isn’t afraid to wear his emotions on his classic sweatshirt sleeves. We’d head over to Primanti’s (the Strip District location, of course), grab a sandwich and have a beer.
