. Head Coach. New Orleans Saints. Sean Payton. 4. player. 15

The top five in my countdown is dripping with controversy. And New Orleans head coach Sean Payton is no exception. He was suspended for the entire 2012 season due to the bounty scandal that rocked the Saints locker room. As it turns out, you’re not allowed to put a price tag on someone’s head in the NFL. Who knew?

Although he’s had back-to-back mediocre seasons (going 7-9 in 2014 and 2015), Payton and Drew Brees are the pride of New Orleans, especially after their 2009 Super Bowl victory over Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts.

I’d want to grab a beer with Payton to hear what it meant to him to bring a Super Bowl to the city of New Orleans, and how the city rallied around his team during the 2006 season after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina the previous year.
