Head Coach. Houston Texans. Bill O'Brien. 2. player. 10.

Did you watch Hard Knocks? If you did, you understand why Bill O’Brien is No. 2 on my list. While spewing enough expletives to fill a bathtub in every episode, O’Brien brought a passion and energy to the game I haven’t seen in some time.

The man just loves football, and will do anything it takes to win. But O’Brien is more than just curse words and football. He’s a family man, too.

O’Brien is entering his third season as the head coach of the Houston Texans, who were 2-14 the year before he arrived. In each of his first two seasons, the Texans have gone 9-7, and that’s with some very suspect quarterback play. Lucky for them, O’Brien is excellent with quarterbacks and they now have at least a decent starter in Brock Osweiler, formerly of the Denver Broncos.

I wouldn’t want to talk football with Bill O’Brien. I’d rather just have a meaningful conversation. If it went in the direction of football, great, but if not, I know I’d be getting a great education anyway.
