2. Friendship bracelets

If Wall and Beal are going to really repair their relationship, they need something tangible to symbolize the work they’ve put in. They need some physical object to refer back to, a reminder of the laughs they shared on that tropical beach, of the healthy frustration they shared over Wall’s unwillingness to trade sheep for bricks and Beal’s refusal to block Gortat’s longest road, of the tears they shared when Dumbledore was killed by Snape. They have taken the steps, now it’s time to make it real.

Luckily, human civilization is prepared for situations just like this — friendship bracelets. Some colored string, the shared experience of learning the boondoggle knots, and each player can give a meaningful gift to the other. These soft, colorful bracelets can be a token of strife that has been softened and of a friendship that has been made more colorful by shared experience and mutual respect. These bracelets don’t last forever but maybe they could make the “friendship bracelet weaving party” into a yearly tradition.

For bros who love the shooting sleeves, these bracelets will also make for a unique basketball accessory. It won’t be long before Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Klay Thompson are sporting their own splashy versions.
