5. James Washington – Oklahoma State

James Washington is another big play receiver. He isn’t going to lead the nation in receptions, but he’s going to make the most out of each catch. In 2015, Washington only had 53 receptions on the year, but he had over 1,000 yards and used his big play ability to set up the Cowboys for scoring chances.

With a production clip like that, Washington is going to see more passes thrown his way in 2016. If he can match the production level, he could be in serious contention for talk of best receiver in the Big 12 and possibly more. It’s really between him and Baylor’s KD Cannon.

Each receiver has similar stat lines and that’s why the comparisons with each other are being made. Not only is he going to rack up a lot of yards, Washington is going to change the pace of each game with his scoring ability. He has the touchdown production to match the incredible amount of yards that he is putting up each game.

The conference isn’t as poised to be as explosive on offense as it usually is, with players moving on, but there are guys that will emerge and take over. Washington primed himself to be the next big thing at Oklahoma State. There’s no reason he shouldn’t be great.
