3. Christian Kirk – Texas A&M

In 2015, there were some dynamic freshman that made a name for themselves early. Christian Kirk was one of those big play machines that took the SEC by storm. In his very first game, the Aggie burned the local college he passed on in Arizona State and the rest was history. His return game was as strong as his receiving game.

He’s one of the most athletic players in college football, but he can make the tough catch and he can change the outlook of a game in a flash. His blazing speed makes him one of the best weapons for a quarterback. Texas A&M has a revolving door at the quarterback spot, but the experienced Trevor Knight will have a safety valve in Kirk.

In his second year, it will be exciting to watch him as he continues to develop. Which facets he adds to his game remains to be seen, but there’s plenty more he can do to make himself great. The battle between him and Calvin Ridley for best receiver in the SEC is going to be one of the biggest battles to watch all year.

He was a freshman All-American last year, but there’s no reason he shouldn’t be an All-American this year. He’s going to be on plenty of awards list when the season is over. The hype is very real with Kirk.
