The Cleveland Browns are not considered a stable franchise in the slightest. They rarely have the same head coach for more than two consecutive seasons. Front office instability has led this organization to being one of the worst run franchises in the NFL the last 15 years.

However, this is the organization that Kaepernick did want to be traded this past spring. Why would Kaepernick want to go to the Browns so badly? The offensive minds of head coach Hue Jackson and offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton had to have had his intrigue.

Jackson was an elite offensive coordinator the last two years with the Cincinnati Bengals. Hamilton has worked with Andrew Luck at both Stanford University and with the Indianapolis Colts. Both love to attack the field aerially and aren’t afraid to draw up some designed runs for a mobile quarterback.

If Kaepernick were to buy in completely to the teachings of Jackson and Hamilton, he could return to 2012 form with the 49ers. Keep in mind that Hamilton was on Jim Harbaugh’s staff at Stanford. Kaepernick played his best ball as a professional in Harbaugh’s 49ers offense.

There are only two problems with Kaepernick going to the 49ers: Robert Griffin, III is going to start for the Browns and Josh McCown might be the NFL’s best backup quarterback entering 2016. Griffin is going to get every opportunity to succeed in this Cleveland offense. The Browns aren’t going to trade McCown unless they can get a lot in exchange for him.
