In any other division in the ACC and most other Power Five Conferences, the Cardinals would be one of the teams competing for the title. Louisville has the talent to beat either FSU or Clemson, but both might be a stretch this season and they stand a step back in the Atlantic Division.

For the last 12 seasons, the team from Coral Gables has touted that they were going to run the “All Canes Conference”. So far, they are 0-for-12 when it comes to winning a football title. New head coach Mark Richt will have them hoisting a trophy soon enough, but they will have to settle for winning the Coastal Division in a down year for that half of the conference.

Before I catch the wrath of #FSUTwitter and those who think I’m turning on my own school, let me say this. FSU is fully capable of winning the ACC and even playing for the national title with Dalvin Cook and an amazing defense. Right now, though, they are sitting in second place in their own division and have to go out and prove they want their title back from our top team.
