24. Kansas City Chiefs

player. 124.
The way things are going, it’s quite possible this may be the last season Kansas City fans see Eric Berry in a Chiefs uniform. Aside from the fact the two sides weren’t able to work out a long-term extension, there is the fact that their salary cap situation for 2017 doesn’t look any better.

Chances are they may have to make some difficult decisions on their roster in order to straighten out the problem. That could include letting the star safety seek his big contract elsewhere. Not ideal, but that’s the reality of the NFL.

Should this be the case, chances are the Chiefs will look to find a replacement early in the draft. They would go into a happy dance if Jamal Adams is there at No. 24.

It’s hard not to like everything about the kid. He is sharpening his tools at LSU, one of the most respected SEC programs in college football. At 6-foot-1 he brings size and showed multiple times last year that he has enough speed to make a play on the ball in the air (four INTs). That pretty much checks every box required of a future starting safety in the pros. Adams would be able to step in right away.
. S. LSU. Jamal Adams . 24
