26. Carolina Panthers

87.
Dave Gettleman is a competant GM but he may have overstepped his bounds a little bit when he thought the Carolina Panthers could move on from cornerback Josh Norman without it having an effect. Based on the fact the team took three corners in the 2016 draft might indicate he came to that conclusion as well.

Suffice to say this team may believe in a strong front seven over a strong secondary first but that doesn’t mean they can win the Super Bowl without guys who can cover.

More importantly guys who can create turnovers. That is the type of defense that Ron Rivera and his staff want. Extra touches for Cam Newton is never a bad thing. Desmond King is a great fit for their scheme. He may not have that ideal size at just 5-foot-11 but he makes up for it with elite ball skills.

King finished 2015 with eight interceptions. To go along with that he demonstrated good toughness when tackling. This is the kind of player who can take maximum advantage of the havoc wrought by that front.
. CB. Iowa.
