Tennessee. Cameron Sutton . 8. player. 15.
The injury to Sheldon Rankins was unfortunate but it doesn’t end his year, so it’s not quite time to call him a bust. Still, that doesn’t mean the New Orleans Saints are out of the woods on defense. Their secondary remains riddled with question marks.

Their two best options at the moment are Delvin Breaux, a former undrafted free agent from San Francisco and P.J. Williams, their 3rd round pick from last year who didn’t play a single game because of injury. It’s little wonder the team decided to sign journeyman free agent Cortland Finnegan.

Talent and depth both make this pick an obvious one. While Tabor would’ve been nice, they can’t be sad about Cameron Sutton. The 6-foot-1 kid from Tennessee plays a physical, in-your-face game. He has no fear of hitting or making tackles and shows enough athleticism and speed to hang with receivers down the field.

At certain points in 2015 it felt like quarterbacks just stopped throwing his direction. That has to be a good sign, right? There is no doubt the Saints need an edge to their defense. More attitude. Sutton can provide that and more.
. CB
