The thing about the Nittany Lion is its simplicity — a truly classic look. This thing looks like something you’d see patrolling the woods in a 1970s horror movie, ready to pounce. Plus, mascots always get some points added on the “nightmare fuel scale” when their eyes are completely blacked out. Everyone knows that’s synonymous with not having a soul. That’s some disturbing stuff.
