17. University of Western Kentucky

What is a Hilltopper? I’ve asked this question for years, but I guess the creative minds at Western Kentucky University have, too.

"Hey, Greg, what’s a Hilltopper? Jee, now that I think about it, I don’t really know, man. Gosh. What do we do for a mascot then? Well, our logo is red, so lets just go with a big blob of red! Genius!"

Well, the product of that (probably) fictional conversation is creepy. It looks like a 4-year-old with play-doh and a toothpick made this thing. Look at the deep crevices of his mouth; anything that goes in there has no chance of returning. Also, the corners of its mouth would definitely go back behind this thing’s ears if it had them. All I think of here is a far more intimidating version of Super Smash Bros Kirby.
